Design 051/101

Question of the day: The world around me?

Hmmm, it is full of light and colors!

Greetings from Connemara, Ireland. One thing Richard Long loved to do was to walk, and record his path. Today, we will do the same inside our cities. We will transform a part of our city into some kind of informational visual representation!

Homework no. 51: This week’s first “hands-on” exercise has to do with the world of maps. It has to do with two-dimensional ways for representing relationship we have with the world.
But then, the true heart of this exercise has to do with your map’s legend (the relationship between the symbols you will use and their meanings). Which symbols will your map have? Why don’t you invent your own set of symbols?

I belong to the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi which is famous as a "City of Lights."

My City of Lights

"What will I learn today? To use filters for seeing things more clearer.
Something to remember: Design. To see and make using filters."
From the letter 51.

P.S.
This assignment has been done for the +iversity course +Design 101 which is instructed by +Stefano Mirti+Anne-Sophie Gauvin, Prof. Giovanni Pasca Raymondi, and Dott. Lucia Giuliano.
