Voyage of Self Exploration
Design 040/101 Homework
It's alive. Creating my garden in Madagascar!
Question of the day: A life generator?
Creating my real mini garden.
Greetings from Madagascar, a beautiful place with lots of curious phenomena... Today, it’s time to take action! Transform your prototype into a garden. But beware of what you create... Remember that this week, we deal with living things! Creating life is a juggling act, some factors are known, others unknown...
Homework no. 40: feel confident with your project... now is time for you to move on and start to build your garden! One thing to keep in mind (once again) is to avoid any kind of
unnecessary complexity. Keep things simple, clear and easy.
What will I learn today? Today, we will learn that “there are no shortcuts to beautiful form” form” (as Christopher Alexander would say). In design, “form is process.”
From the letter # 40.
Why do we do this? To learn making things simple. To set up a generative pattern for our design processes.
Letter 40 says.
P.S.
This assignment has been done for the +iversity course +Design 101 which is instructed by +Stefano Mirti, +Anne-Sophie Gauvin, Prof. Giovanni Pasca Raymondi, and Dott. Lucia Giuliano.
